Villa Layout
Climb a fleet of stairs to enter the villa through The Clubhouse. You are greeted by stunning ocean views beyond the glass doors, as you take in the double atrium and generous socialising space. To your left is the dining room. A few steps down on the right, you will find a gymnasium, and adjoining it is the jacuzzi, massage room, steam room, and dry sauna. A flight of steps up takes you to the upper mezzanine which hosts the games room and library, while the lower level tucks in a home cinema.
The Clubhouse leads out to a multi-level pool deck, with two covered gazebos. The master villa sits on the left side of this building, and comprises a lounge, a grand master suite, two spacious guest suites and a twin room. Down a trail of steps towards the beach, you will find Villas A and B, both with two rooms each and private sit-outs.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms at Villa Riva are housed within three separate pavilions with pitched, Thai-style roofs and Asian architecture. The bedrooms have been designed to maximise the sea views as well as afford privacy for guests. The rooms are all air conditioned and have ensuite bathrooms.
Master Villa:
The Master Villa is a separate pavilion a few steps up on the left side of The Clubhouse. You enter a lounge with sofa seating and a flat-screen television. Further into the villa, stairs lead you to the three rooms up a few steps.
The Grand Master Suite is the pièce de résistance of Villa Riva. Located on the upper level of the Master Villa, the suite has incredible sea views which can be enjoyed from the relaxing sofa in the room, the outdoor deck, and even the jacuzzi in the ensuite bathroom. Generous space and tasteful furnishings make the master suite a pleasure to retire to. A canopied, king-size bed takes centrestage while the study table boasts sea views as well.
The two guest suites in the Master Villa are almost identical, located up a few steps from the lounge. They feature king-size beds and well-appointed ensuite bathrooms with bathtubs. The ensuite bathroom in one of the suites has been specifically designed for guests with mobility challenges and is wheelchair friendly.
In addition to these rooms, the Master Villa also has a cosy, twin/king bedroom, appropriate for teenagers or a nanny travelling with the family.
Villa A:
Down the trail of steps hugging the side of the cliff, you will find your way to Villa A which houses Guest Suites 3 and 4.
Perfect for a nuclear family, the two bedrooms in Villa A boast floor-to-ceiling wood and glass doors that lead on to shaded, glass-walled balconies with endless sea views. An amazing four-poster bed in the upper suite makes it a romantic room, while the lounging sofa lets the kids hang around when they want. The ensuite bathroom in the upper suite has a large, built-in tub with shuttered windows.
The lower level suite boasts a king-size bed, great for kids, and a rain shower in the ensuite bathroom. The sea-facing deck is shaded by a tamarind tree and has views of the beach.
Villa B:
Further down the steps, only a stone’s throw from the beach level sits Villa B.
Ideal for a family with young kids, the villa has two adjoining bedrooms. The luxuriously appointed suite perfect for the parents features a built-in bed with the mattress raised on a platform and a large bathtub in the ensuite bathroom. The outdoor covered deck is ideal for relaxing or playing with the kids. The adjoining kids room has a double bed and a shower in the bathroom. These two rooms have the easiest access to the beach.
Living Areas
Indoor living
A sense of grandeur envelopes you when you enter The Clubhouse. The majestic entrance greets you with a hanging gong, and a stone-clad gateway leads you into the main level of The Clubhouse where the sea sparkles beyond glass doors in front. On the left, a large 16-seater table takes up a corner of the room. The main lounge with sofa seating has high, vaulted ceilings with a double atrium, and is furnished with fine contemporary Asian art and decor. It opens onto an expansive pool deck with sun loungers surrounding the infinity pool.
A fully equipped and modern show kitchen adjoins the dining room, for use when you need to shake a cocktail or cut up some cheese. The main meal preparation happens in the discreet wet kitchen which is used by the staff. The lower level of The Clubhouse holds an amazing private cinema that doubles up as a video game room, with cushioned recliners and seating for 10 people. Nearby, a fitted wine cellar is stocked with over 100 bottles of the finest vintage and champagne from around the world. The mid-lower level of The Clubhouse has a dedicated health and fitness zone with a fully equipped gym, dry sauna, jacuzzi, shower, changing room and a private massage room. Last, but definitely not least, the upper mezzanine is furnished with a massive 9-metre sofa, a billiards table, book library and a gaming table.
Outdoor Living
The outdoors at Villa Riva are as riveting as the interiors. The floodlit, AstroTurf tennis court keeps your game on point. Meanwhile, the 32-metre infinity pool looks out languidly towards the Gulf of Thailand. The pool deck spills over multiple levels, dotted with sun loungers and easy seating. A covered gazebo juts into the pool, with curtains that can be drawn should you want an outdoor massage. Nearby, another gazebo is the perfect location for a breezy barbecue meal, with table seating for eight guests.
All the bedroom pavilions have sea-facing patios and balconies for you to enjoy the views from. Steps lead down to a semi-private, rocky beach, where sun loungers and a massage table are at hand should you want to use them. A custom-built platform on the beach is the perfect venue for beach weddings or celebratory events.
